BED Course
Yangon University of Education has be launched its own student selection system since 2018.Candidates who wish to apply for BEd course have to fill up the application forms which can be downloaded at www.moe.gov.mm, www.yuoe.edu.mm and also got from the training office of YUOE. Announcement for admission are done through MoE website, YUOE website and National Newspapers. Applications are accepted from mid June to mid July. Admission to BEd course are done on the basis of Matriculation Exam marks and the marks scored in the interview for BEd Entrance Exam conducted in August by the YUOE Admission Entrance Examination Boards composed of Professors, Associate Professors and senior Lecturers. Only those students will be considered for BEd Admission who will fulfill eligibility criteria and cut off score in the interview. Students who got the permission for the university admission are announced in the mid of September. These candidates have to register from mid September to mid October.
For MEd (Q) Course
Teachers and staff under MOE who earned BEd degree and at least 5-year service can apply for oneyear MEd (Q) programme. Applicants must choose one specialized subject – Educational Psychology or Educational Theory or Methodology or Physical Education for their entrance examination, and have to pass both written and oral examinations to be able to attend the MEd (Q) programme.The detail information for application and registration date will be announced by national newspapers in advance. Upon the completion of the MEd (Q) programme, applicants can attend MEd programme, but they will have to be interviewed.
For MEd Course
Teachers and staff under MOE who obtained BEd degree with credit and at least one-year service can apply for two-year MEd programme. For the written entrance examination, they have to sit for the exam of English and one specialized subject out of the four fields: Educational Psychology, Educational Theory, Methodology and Physical Education. In addition to the written examination, they will also be interviewed. To be able to attend the MEd programme, candidates have to pass both written and oral examinations. For PhD Course
Teachers and staff under MOE who graduated MEd degree and at least 1-year service in the current position can apply for five-year PhD programme. The applicants must not be over 30 when they submit their application to the university. For the written entrance examination, they have to sit for the exam of English and their specialized subject.
